How to Register AXIS CloudSync Tool

After AXIS CloudSync Tool is installed, it must be registered to your user account so that it can recognize the files and folders that belong to you.

To register AXIS CloudSync Tool on a Windows machine:

  1. After the Setup Wizard completes, the Registration Wizard will automatically launch. Alternatively, click the AXIS CloudSync Tool icon in the system tray (lower right-hand corner on Windows, upper right-hand corner on Mac) and select Register.
  2. In the Registration screen, enter the email address and password provided in your Welcome email, then click Next.
  3. In the Select Destination of Folder screen, choose either a default or custom installation path for your synced folder. In most instances, select Default — your synced folder will be accessible at: C:\Users\[User Name]\AXIS CloudSync Folder

    Warning: Do not select an external drive or a network path. Doing so can cause unexpected behavior and data loss.
  4. If you have previously installed with the same settings and a folder already exists, click Merge to merge with the existing folder.
  5. In the Choose Folders for Selective Sync screen, select which content you want synced to this device. You can deselect Team Shares or folders you don’t need locally. Click Next to continue.
  6. Click Finish when the Registration Wizard completes.

Important: You must restart your computer to complete the installation.

After restarting, your AXIS CloudSync Folder will be accessible in Windows Explorer under Favorites. The AXIS CloudSync Tool icon in the system tray shows sync status at a glance.
