Administrator Guide Sections
Organizations
Organizations represent the entities you manage within AXIS CloudSync — your company, a client, a department, or a location. You can create parent organizations and sub-organizations to match your hierarchy. Each organization has its own settings, user accounts, and storage quota. Using the Administrative Interface →
Accounts and Machines
Create user accounts for every member of your organization. Each user can register multiple machines — desktops, laptops, and mobile devices. Guest accounts can be issued for temporary external collaborators. Create and Manage User Accounts →
Team Shares and Share Links
Administrators can create Team Shares for departments or project teams, define subscription rules, and manage member access. Share Links allow secure external sharing with or without password protection. Team Shares Guide → | Share Content →
WebDAV
Enable WebDAV to allow users to access their AXIS CloudSync storage as a mapped network drive on Windows or Mac, without installing the desktop client. WebDAV Setup Guide →
File Locking and Sync Warnings
Configure file locking policies to prevent simultaneous editing conflicts. Administrators can also review and resolve sync warnings across the organization. File Locking Guide →
Backups
Create backup jobs to protect critical organizational data. Backups are stored in a separate backup root and can be restored independently of the main sync environment. Create and Manage Backups → | Revision Rollback →
Monitoring and Reports
Track storage consumption, user activity, file events, and sync status across your organization. Use reports to demonstrate HIPAA compliance to auditors. Creating Reports →
Active Directory Integration
Integrate AXIS CloudSync with your Active Directory to automate user provisioning, synchronize group membership, and simplify account management. Active Directory Integration → | AD Setup Guide →
Bandwidth Throttling and LAN Sync
Control how much bandwidth AXIS CloudSync uses on your network, and enable LAN Sync to allow local machines to sync from each other rather than the cloud when on the same network. Bandwidth Throttling → | LAN Sync →
File Server Enablement
Cloud-enable an existing file server so that its directories become AXIS CloudSync Team Shares — without moving the data or retraining end users. File Server Enablement Guide →
Two-Step Authentication
Enforce two-step authentication across your organization to meet HIPAA security requirements. Two-Step Authentication →
API Access
AXIS CloudSync provides a REST API for advanced integrations and automation. AXIS CloudSync API Guide →
